Aegis signs partnership agreement with U.S. IT giant
The deal was agreed after the two companies worked together on a data management project for a global finance company in London, following an historical working relationship.
COPAN Systems, the leader in persistent data storage solutions based upon its intelligent, enterprise-class, enhanced Massive Array of Idle Disks (MAID) platform, recognised that Aegis IT has a unique set of skills that compliment its own in the UK.
COPAN Systems’ intelligent storage solutions are up to 75% more cost effective to run than traditional systems in terms of energy efficiency and cooling power. They are seen as redefining storage economics for persistent data.
Industry analyst Steve Duplessie of The Enterprise Strategy Group commented;

The agreement begins an exciting year for Aegis IT. In 2007 it opened a second office in Leeds, and in January 2008 bolstered its 13 strong team with the appointment of a new senior technical consultant Mike Domingue.
The expansion follows lucrative contract wins including Sage UK Limited, IBM, Proctor & Gamble, AccuRead and White, Young, Green.
